Greatness By God's Design
The theme of my website is Christian transformation for life purpose. All Christians have God's greatness within them by His design to accomplish all things in Christ and to live the specific plan He has given us. The Bible gives us instruction to discover, develop and live that plan, therefore this site brings clarity of it through scripture, the author's experience and from over thirty years of study.
The vibrant red poppy, with its delicate petals and resilient nature, offers a powerful visual metaphor for Christian renewal and inner restoration. Its symbolism resonates with key biblical themes of sacrifice, remembrance, and new life.
* **Sacrifice and Remembrance:** The poppy's association with fields of battle, particularly World War I, links it to sacrifice. In Christianity, this echoes the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of humanity (John 3:16). Remembering this sacrifice is central to Christian faith.
* **Resurrection and New Life:** Poppies emerge from barren landscapes, bringing vibrant color and life. This mirrors the Christian belief in resurrection and the promise of new life through faith in Christ. Just as the poppy blooms after winter, Christians can experience spiritual renewal after periods of hardship or spiritual dryness. (2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!")
* **Inner Transformation:** The poppy's beauty, emerging from seemingly infertile ground, symbolizes the potential for inner transformation. Through the Holy Spirit, Christians can experience inner healing and restoration, allowing them to flourish spiritually, regardless of past hurts or failures. (Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.")
The red poppy serves as a visual reminder of the Christian journey of sacrifice, remembrance, and the promise of renewal and restoration through Christ. It symbolizes the potential for inner transformation and the vibrant new life available to those who believe.
